As a carer for a foster child with a learning disability, your role is to make sure that they have the right support so that their opportunities in life are not limited. In this course, you will find out about their particular needs, how to get professional help and support and how you can assist them yourself. This course will give you the confidence to make choices and to help the foster child, so they have a fulfilling life.

In this course, you will learn:
- What learning disabilities are.
- How they affect children.
- How to take care of a child with a learning disability.
- What programmes are in place to support children with learning disabilities.
- What support you can access as a foster carer.
