How do I access my online training account?


For Carers:

TACT administrators set up online training accounts for foster carers. You should have received your login details at your TACT email address. If you do not have a training account, or are unsure whether you have one, please contact your local TACT administrators. They will be able to verify this for you and set up your account if necessary. Following this, you will soon receive your login details.

Once you have your login details, please click 'Login' on the top right of your screen (or if you are on a phone/tablet, on the menu - 3 horizontal lines - to reveal the 'Login' option) and enter your login details.


For TACT Staff:

You can explore the available courses by logging into your shared local TACT staff account. If you don't have the login details for this account, please reach out to your local TACT administrators who will be able to assist you with this.

I forgot my password.



No problem, that happens to all of us all the time.


On the bottom of the login page, you should see a "
Forgot your password?" option. Click on this. You will then be prompted to enter your email details. An automatic email will be sent to you with a link to reset your password. Check your junk folder if you can't find the email.


That's it! Easy peasy.

Where can I find the courses?



Once logged in, on the right side of your main page you will see "Course Catalogue" (see picture). When you click on it, you will be able to access all the courses, read the abstracts and start the courses you are interested in.


Another option before you log in is to look at the very top of the page. You should see "Course Catalogue" and "Featured Courses". The former shows you all the courses and the latter a selection of courses that TACT recommends.

Can I retake a course?



Yes you can. You can retake courses as often as you want, even once you have completed it. On your dashboard, click on the course you would like to retake. Then, click on the unit you would like to access.

The course is not loading - Chrome or Microsoft Edge

I see an incomplete button and nothing else



If you are using Chrome or Microsoft Edge and you are facing this issue, you will need to clear your cookies. We have added links below to the more common browsers with instructions on how to clear cookies.

Are you an Internet Explorer user?

Microsoft has stopped supporting Internet Explorer and the browser is now obsolete. Moving forward you will have difficulties accessing any website using Internet Explorer. For security reasons as well, please install Microsoft Edge instead. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/edge

The course is not loading - Samsung Explorer



  1. Go to Settings. Select Browsing privacy. And finally select Smart Anti Tracking
  2. Then select 'Never'.
  3. Once this done, please log back into your training account and resume the course. It should load smoothly.

To fix this issue you will need to:
  1. check your cookies settings: make sure to disable 'prevent cross tracking' and 'block all cookies'
  2. clear your cookies and cache
  3. check that you have the latest iOS update on your device. Go to Settings, then 'Software update', if your device needs updating it will be indicated there.
Once you followed these steps, close Safari and log back into your training account.

Another option if you are using a Mac computer is to switch from Safari to Chrome.

To fix this issue you will need to:
