TACT Scotland identified the following courses as core:
- Diversity and equality
- Safeguarding and safer caring
- Child sexual abuse
- Advanced safeguarding or Recognising and responding to abuse
- Attachments
- Keeping data safe
- Extremism, radicalisation and terrorism
- Managing challenging behaviour or Managing a child's anger
- Neurodevelopmental disorders (new for 2024): Autism spectrum disorder, Caring for a child with Down’s Syndrome, Caring for a child with a learning disability, Caring for a child with dyslexia, or Introduction to Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders
- Foster carer records
You are expected to complete these courses every 3 years, apart from the Keeping data safe which is yearly. Here are the shortcuts to the courses:
