Children's Rights (CRtact)

Description
[This course will take you about 1hr 50mins to complete.]

Children, though under the protection of their parents, carers or, in the case of looked after children, the local authority, have their own individual human rights. Society must ensure that children have basic human rights, as well as certain protections as they develop into full members of society. There are also certain rights that apply specifically to children in care that foster carers must be aware of. These rights and laws are designed for children to not only survive but thrive.

In this course, you will learn:
- About the rights of the child
- About the rights of children in care and care leavers
- How to make a complaint
- What an advocate is and how they can help.
